A warming fruit tea for long winter evenings, bringing together aronia chokeberry, rosehip, sea buckthorn and apple with the festive spices of cinnamon, clove and orange peel. Spiced fruit infusions like this have long been a winter tradition in Central European homes. The blend is prepared by Agrokarpaty in Slovakia.
The Herbs
- Aronia Chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa) fruit – a dark, gently tart berry widely grown in Central and Eastern Europe.
- Rosehip (Rosa canina) and Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) fruit – two tangy, bright-coloured fruits with a long tradition in European winter teas.
- Apple (Malus domestica) and Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) flowers – for natural sweetness and a deep ruby colour.
- Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) bark, Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) buds and Orange (Citrus sinensis) peel – classic warming winter spices.
