Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is one of the classic bitter herbs of European herbal tradition. It has traditionally been associated with digestive wellbeing and has long been enjoyed in small amounts around mealtimes. This pure single-herb tea is prepared by Agrokarpaty in Slovakia and is traditionally used in moderation.
The Herbs
Wormwood is a silvery-grey, strongly aromatic perennial herb. The leafy flowering tops are gathered and dried, and have been valued for centuries for their remarkably bitter taste, which also made wormwood a traditional ingredient in European bitters and aperitifs.
Flavour & Character
Intensely bitter, with a sharp, aromatic and slightly sage-like character. It is traditionally sipped in small amounts. A little honey softens the bitterness.

How to Prepare
- Place one tea bag in a cup.
- Pour over 200ml of freshly boiled water.
- Infuse for around 10 minutes, then remove the tea bag.
